Gervonta Davis has abruptly dismissed a rematch call-out from Isaac Cruz.

The 28-year-old American boxing star has not fought since knocking out Ryan Garcia in April, and his next opponent remains a mystery.

Tank will return to the ring in 2024 and has been more active on social media in recent days discussing possible locations.

However, it is not public knowledge when he will fight, or who against.

A fair few fans have expected to see Davis face Cruz again soon.

The pair met in 2021 and delivered a far closer fight than most anticipated.

Davis, famed for winning most often by knockout, struggled with an injury to his power left hand in the early stages.

The contest went the distance as a result, with Tank emerging victorious by unanimous decision.

Cruz has called for a rematch ever since and, while it is not a fight too many fans are clamouring for, a lot of people have predicted it will happen again as both men are represented by Al Haymon's PBC.

On Saturday night, Garcia had his first fight since being beaten by Davis.

Garcia has not replied, but Davis has.
