Meghan McCain had a huge fight with her The View co-host, Whoopi Goldberg but as it turns out, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t simply ‘adore’ her anyway! This is what Meghan said about her relationship with her offscreen pal.
At the same time, however, it makes perfect sense that people were not really living under that impression.
After all, the two got into a massive screaming match on The View so people were convinced there would be some bad blood between them.
It all started with Whoopi telling Meghan to just ‘stop talking’ amid an argument on the show, just before it cut to a commercial break. Pretty dramatic!
However, while on Watch What Happens Live, Meghan told Andy Cohen that their fight ended there.
She dished that Whoopi ‘was having a bad day, and we talked about it that night and the next day. You know, it is live TV and it is really intense, stressful times for anyone. I adore her; she apologized on air and she apologized off air.’
You might remember that it all took place back in December during a discussion about Donald Trump‘s impeachment.
Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar were both trying to speak but Meghan talked over them so loudly that they ended up being drowned out completely.
That is when Whoopi, who is generally considered the moderator, stepped in and called Meghan out: ‘Girl, please stop talking, please stop talking right now.’
Meghan looked really stunned and upset about it, telling her quietly: ‘I won’t talk for the rest of the show.’
But the actress made it really clear that she did not care, responding: ‘I’m okay with that. I’m okay with that! If you’re going to behave like this. You’re talking over people.’

Meghan told Andy that she is well aware the fight was pretty brutal but admitted that ‘We all f**k up on the show. It’s live, it’s every day. I forgive her, and I love her. If she leaves, I go. Whoopi is the anchor of the show, my life there; she always picks us up when we’re down. But, if she jumps, I also jump. I adore her and I need her as the moderator.’
